Anton Rabie

Anton Rabie, Chairman, Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer

Anton Rabie, is the Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Spin Master and a member of the company’s board of directors. After graduating with an Honours in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Anton partnered with friends Ronnen and Ben to create Spin Master, now a global leader in children’s toy and entertainment. Spin Master is renowned for its innovation and pushing the boundaries of play, a philosophy shared and fostered actively by Anton.

Anton’s fearless entrepreneurial mindset was instrumental in the early years of Spin Master, helping to create a culture of risk-taking and acceptance of failure. During the first decade with the company, Anton led many functions including sales, marketing and human resources, where he attracted and developed talent, and created and managed relationships with domestic and international retailers. In recent years, Anton has spearheaded the company’s global expansion with the establishment of international offices in more than 20 countries. He plays a foundational role in Spin Master acquisitions, with close to 20 completed to date, including Tech Deck, Cardinal, Meccano and most recently GUND. Anton is also focused on business development and building international subsidiaries for worldwide marketing and distribution. His passion and leadership of the games category has helped to establish and expand the company’s position within this area.

Described as an “energy force” by his colleagues, Anton is passionate about people, promoting the company’s culture and inspiring employees. He embodies Spin Master’s values and is relentlessly committed to finding, developing and acquiring world-class talent. His current focus is Project Inspire, aimed at creating a best-in-class workplace that empowers employees to achieve their best, while also attracting top talent to build a foundation for Spin Master’s long-term success.

Over the course of his career, Anton has received numerous accolades, including being recognized by the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine as a Top 40 Under 40. He generously shares his knowledge and time by engaging in a wide range of community organizations and charitable causes. Outside of work, Anton is extremely passionate about spending time with his family and living a healthy lifestyle. His love of tennis, instilled in him as a child, has incited an interest to study the science of human psychology. He is obsessed with continuous learning and keeping an open mind set. Anton has combined insights from his business, sports and psychology to create a new video series, Mindstones™, to help coach and inspire others.

Ronnen Harary

Ronnen Harary, Director, Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer

Ronnen Harary is the Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Spin Master and a member of the company’s board of directors. Since the inception of the company in 1994, together with his two business partners, Ronnen has led and helped to establish Spin Master as a global leader in the toy, media and entertainment space.

Ronnen’s expertise and passion for children’s entertainment have led to the creation of award-winning programming and franchises including PAW Patrol, Bakugan, Rusty Rivets and Little Charmers, which have touched the lives of children in more than 160 countries. These wildly-popular series transcend cultural boundaries with universal characters and storylines that have travelled the globe, capturing the imagination and play of millions of kids around the world.

As the leader of Spin Master’s entertainment division, Ronnen plays an integral role in developing new entertainment properties, forging industry partnerships and building relationships with domestic and international broadcasters to bring the magic of Spin Master to kids through a variety of media channels. His latest venture is the company’s first foray into feature film.

In addition to overseeing the company’s entertainment division, licensing and digital studios, Ronnen is focused on unlocking ideas and fostering innovation throughout the organization, empowering employees to reach their full potential. He pushes boundaries and challenges teams to innovate and garners executive alignment to move the business forward. His commitment to developing people extends beyond Spin Master. Building on his own legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship, Ronnen lends his time and support to organizations like Futurepreneur, a national non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners.

Ronnen has a strong sense of social responsibility and is passionate about giving back to enrich the lives of children. In 2013, he founded the Toy Movement, a global initiative that provides toys to children in need, giving them the opportunity to experience the joy of play. Since its inception, Spin Master has led missions to over 10 countries, including Iraq, Israel, Mexico and South Africa, delivering more than 350,000 toys to disadvantaged or displaced children.

Ronnen is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, with a BA in Political Science.


Jeffrey I. Cohen

Jeffrey I. Cohen, Director

Jeffrey I. Cohen is the managing partner at Torkin Manes LLP (a full service Toronto law firm) and a member of the firm’s Business Law and Corporate Finance Groups. Mr. Cohen has been a lawyer at Torkin Manes LLP since 1986. Mr. Cohen is the immediate past treasurer of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, a Jewish charity organization, and a past member of its board of directors. He is currently a member and Chair of the national board of directors of Weizmann Canada, a part of the worldwide network of supporting organizations for the Weizmann Institute of Science, one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary research institutions. Mr. Cohen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Jeffrey I. Cohen is not considered to be an Independent Director since he is a partner of Torkin Manes LLP, which provides legal services to the Company. Mr. Cohen is a Majority Principal Nominee.


Reggie Fils-Aimé, Director

Reginald (Reggie) Fils-Aimé is an award-winning innovator and disrupter who helped bring the Nintendo DS, the Wii, the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and the Nintendo Switch to the global marketplace. Mr. Fils-Aimé joined Nintendo of America Inc. in December 2003 as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and in May 2006, he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, Mr. Fils-Aimé retired with world-wide acclaim as an executive who loved leading his business and interacting with its employees, business associates and consumers. As a result, in October 2019 he was inducted into the International Video Game Hall of Fame and in January 2020 received the Legend Award from the New York Videogame Critics Circle. Mr. Fils-Aimé is a graduate of Cornell University and in August 2019, was named Cornell University’s Dyson Undergraduate Business School Leader in Residence. He also founded Brentwood Growth Partners to help emerging companies scale and enable leaders to create world-class cultures.

Kevin Glass, Director

Kevin Glass was most recently Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at CIBC from 2011 to 2019 where he was responsible for financial strategy, oversight, reporting and planning, as well as use and composition of CIBC’s balance sheet resources. From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Glass served as Executive Vice-President, Finance Shared Services at CIBC. Prior to CIBC, Mr. Glass was Chief Financial Officer for a number of companies that included Revera Inc., Atlas Cold Storage Income Trust, and Vitran Corporation Inc. Mr. Glass is a Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, CPA, CA), holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.

Dina R. Howell

Dina R. Howell, Director

Dina R. Howell is a corporate director. She was the Chief Executive Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi X, a shopper marketing agency, from 2010 to July 2015. Previously Ms. Howell held a variety of positions during her 22 year career at Procter & Gamble, a global consumer products company, ultimately serving as Vice President Global Media and Brand Operations. She serves on the board of directors of Give Kids the World. Ms. Howell also does independent business consulting. Ms. Howell graduated from The University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in June 1984.

Dina R. Howell is an Independent Director.


Christina Miller, Director

Christina Miller brings more than twenty-five years of diversified experience in various leadership roles within the media, sports and entertainment business to her board position at Spin Master. Most recently, she was the president of WarnerMedia’s Kids, Young Adults and Classic division where she was responsible for all aspects of the business including global oversight of content development, production and franchise management for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang and TCM. Prior to WarnerMedia, Ms. Miller was general manager of NBA Digital and senior vice president of Turner Sports Strategy/Marketing/Programming, where she led the day-to-day operations for the NBA Digital portfolio. Miller currently serves on a variety of other boards including The Scratch Foundation, which supports an approach to coding that engages young people in thinking creatively.

Todd Tappin, Director

Todd Tappin is the former President and Chief Financial Officer of TechStyle Inc. (a privately-held fashion company), a position he held from 2016 - 2018. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of The Rubicon Project, Inc. (a publicly traded technology company), a position he held from 2013 - 2016. Previously, Mr. Tappin was the Chief Executive Officer of SocialVibe, later renamed TrueX Media, an online advertising technology company from October 2010 to February 2013 and a Managing Director of The Gores Group, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm from January 2009 to October 2010. He was the founding Chief Financial Officer of Overture, a pioneer in paid search which became a publicly traded company and was ultimately acquired by Yahoo!. Prior to Overture, Mr. Tappin spent six years as a senior executive at 21st Century Fox / News Corporation, an American multi-national mass media company, as Senior Vice President of Finance and General Manager. Mr. Tappin previously was a senior auditor at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (now known as Deloitte LLP) and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.

Charles Winograd

Charles Winograd, Director

Charles Winograd is Senior Managing Partner of Elm Park Capital Management (a mid-market lending limited partnership) and is also President of Winograd Capital Inc. (an external consulting and private investment firm). From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Winograd was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RBC Capital Markets. He was also President and Chief Operating Officer of RBC Dominion Securities from 1998 to 2001. He also served as Deputy Chairman and Director of RBC Dominion Securities from 1996 to 1998, following its acquisition of Richardson Greenshields. From 1971, Mr. Winograd held several progressively senior positions with Richardson Greenshields and predecessor companies becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in 1987 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1991. Mr. Winograd is presently on the boards of TMX Group Ltd., where he is Chairman, James Richardson and Sons Limited and Titan Holdings. He is also on the Board of Trustees for RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust and is a Management Advisor with RP Investment Advisors. In addition, Mr. Winograd is a director of Sinai Health System and was on the Canadian federal government’s Advisory Council for Promoting Women on Boards. Mr. Winograd is a past Chairman of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada. Mr. Winograd received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He earned a Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1979.

Ben Varadi

Ben Varadi, Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer

Ben Varadi is a co-founder of Spin Master and is currently Executive Vice President, Chief Creative Officer and a member of the company’s board of directors. He, along with his co-founders, was a recipient of Canada’s Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999 in the Emerging Entrepreneur Category and has been featured as a Top 40 under 40 executive for his achievements in Canada and the global marketplace. He plays an active role in product design and development and his creative approach remains influential to Spin Master’s product selection.

Ben earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario in 1994.
